No matter how long you’ve been in the public speaking industry, the last few minutes before you take the stage can be very stressful. This is usually the time when someone gets cold feet or butterflies in his/her stomach. Knowing you’re about to stand in front of many people and speak can make your nerves go haywire.
How do professionals get through this? Most people develop a sense of control. There are three things that one must prepare to be able to overcome this last minute fear of public speaking, namely:
These are very basic items that can help you control the last minute fear. Later on, you would be able to device your own ways. It also makes sense that some people even do a little warm up exercise like stretching, jumping jacks or vocalization. It helps them clear their mind and be energized. Make this your last minute public speaking exercise.

I am a (recovered) child star of the 1960’s, and never suffered from nerves until one night…. I lost my lines and got no prompt. There I was, Royal Shakespeare Company stage, two other actors, no prompt! Prompt lady thought I was doing a dramatic pause - ugh.
I walked to the front of the stage to deliver a speech to the audience seconds later opened my mouth and - The words came!!!
